We are thrilled to announce the newest member of our racing family for the 2024 F4 European campaign: Gustav Jonsson! Hailing from Sweden, Jonsson brings a wealth of talent and determination to Van Amersfoort Racing.
Jonsson’s journey to this point has been nothing short of remarkable. With a background rooted in national karting championships, where he consistently contended for top honors, his transition to European karting in 2022 showcased his undeniable skill and potential. However, it was his impressive debut in single-seaters during the 2023 FIA British F4 championship that truly caught the attention of the racing world.
In his inaugural season, Gustav Jonsson displayed remarkable prowess behind the wheel, culminating in the prestigious title of 2023 Rookie Champion. This achievement marked a historic moment as the first Swedish driver to claim this honor in the championship's history.
Expressing his excitement about joining Van Amersfoort Racing, Gustav Jonsson stated, "I am really excited to be joining Van Amersfoort Racing for the 2024 season. We completed a series of tests at the end of 2023 together and we immediately performed well. This is a really important year in my career, and I fully believe in the team and think we have a chance to achieve great things together."
